On February 5, 2025, a recognition event for civil society activists took place in the Toompea Knighthood building, where the President of the Republic of Estonia, Alar Karis, presented awards to outstanding contributors to civil society. Recognition was also received by NGO You Can<\/strong>: their founder and board member Enelis in the City<\/a><\/strong> accepted \u201cComer of the Year\u201d<\/strong> title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Introducing the award, Triin Toomesaar, head of the Estonian Association of Non-Governmental Organizations, said:
"Although only established in 2024, MT\u00dc Sa Suudad has already made a significant impact by giving a voice to young people who have or have had high-risk behaviour, thereby helping to make the educational, social and legal systems more youth-friendly. Through the association, young people have been able to talk about their difficult experiences and their root causes, and provide recommendations to adults on how to be better present for young people."<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MT\u00dc Sa Suudad<\/strong> has worked purposefully to raise awareness and understanding of the complex experiences of young people in society and to provide them with the support and opportunities they need to create a better future. The recognition of \u201eUpcoming Person of the Year\u201c shows that the organization\u2019s short but meaningful time in operation has already begun to bear fruit.

Enelis said the following about receiving the recognition: "The past year has been very special. I have been able to fulfill my dream, the idea of which began more than 10 years ago, to create an NGO to help push for change in society.
In my opinion, it is not possible to start a non-profit organization if you do not have the right people around you and if these people are willing and motivated to contribute their busy and free time to a chaotic journey where everything is developing quickly and there are more ideas than you can handle.
I am deeply moved by how lovely, supportive and helpful people can truly be. Thank you to each and every one of you who has contributed to the creation of the NGO, to its growth and development in a start-up way.
But my greatest gratitude goes to the young people! To the young people who have not had an easy life, who have been let down by many adults, but you have trusted me, helped this NGO to truly and essentially be an NGO that includes young people. You have such strength and will to contribute to the fact that other young people could have a better future than you had. Thank you! This recognition is for all of you who have been with me on this journey! Now only forward!\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n
