The work of a social educator is not just about individual counseling or responding to unexpected situations, but increasingly, strategic thinking and the ability to design systems so that they truly meet the needs of young people are at the core of this profession. My practice In NGO Sa Suudad<\/strong> was not just a mandatory part of the curriculum, but a meaningful and responsible experience where I could apply service design and user experience analysis in a field where it is often lacking. My role was not limited to observation; I was an active part of the processes that aimed to shift the focus from the question of \u201ewhat we do\u201c to the question of \u201ewhy and for whom we do it\u201c. The goal was to help create interventions that would not be based solely on adult assumptions, but would be based on the experiences of young people themselves, making their voices truly heard in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During my internship, I participated in new forms of collaboration and on the creation of a youth council<\/a>, where interviews and user experience mapping confirmed time and time again that the best way to understand the target group is to ask them directly. Young people are the best experts on their own lives and they can describe very precisely what support is meaningful to them and what remains distant or formal. In addition to analyzing support programs, I paid close attention to digital accessibility, evaluating the organization's web solutions to make information clearer and easier to find for those in need. This experience showed how important it is in the social field to constantly reflect and be willing to reevaluate current practices with a fresh eye.<\/p>\n\n\n

Throughout this process, the theoretical knowledge I acquired at university about developmental theories and communication psychology became practical tools. They helped me understand the needs of young people. risk behavior<\/a> and create a trusting contact where it was needed most. A supportive and trusting atmosphere played a decisive role in the success of the internship: I was included in decisions and given responsibility, knowing that the supervisor was always there as a safety net. This is the best environment for the growth of professional self-confidence. My greatest insight was that we can create seemingly perfect programs in the silence of the office, but without the young people themselves, they remain alien to life. The role of a social educator is to be a bridge that empowers young people to move from the role of passive recipient of assistance to active contributors. MT\u00dc Sa Suudad offered a real platform for this, where the experience of young people is valuable, and this experience gave me a clear vision of what kind of humane and effective social field I want to shape in my future work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
