VIDEO: Young people's expectations of child protection work: trust, partnership and inclusion

"Signs of Safety is a case management model used in the child protection field to ensure the safety of the child by providing child protection workers with a range of structured tools to assess the child's level of risk and need and to communicate with the child and family. The model supports child protection workers throughout the child protection case management process, from the collection of information when a child in need is reported to the decision to close the case. The model is characterised by the involvement of the child and his/her parents, as well as the wider family and close family and network members, in the assessment of the child's needs and further case resolution.
