Become a mentor to young people!

Would you like to contribute your time and experience to help young people stay on track in believing in themselves?
Then we are waiting for you to become a mentor!
We are creating a pilot program aimed at supporting young people aged 10-18 who exhibit risky behavior through experienced confidants: people who have gone through this period in their lives, have completed training as an experienced counselor, and now want to offer support and role models to today's youth based on their experiences.
Through the program we want to:
Reduce misunderstanding and stigmatization of young people
Preventing loneliness and the risks it poses to young people
To create relationships based on trust that help young people see their opportunities and potential in a new way
Our goal is to help ensure that every young person feels like they have a safe place to belong. You can read more about the program here: HERE
We are looking for experienced mentors for the trustee (5 mentors in total), namely: a person who has:
experience working with young people, including young people who have experienced or are experiencing risk behavior
willingness to volunteer up to 5 hours a week for approximately a year or a year and a half
The desire to support young people who, after completing their training as an experienced counselor, are embarking on a journey as experienced trustees in the MTÜ Sa Suudad pilot program
The desire to be part of a growing and change-making NGO that works to create more understanding, care, and hope in society.
We offer:
- Support throughout the mentorship, including training and joint events
- The opportunity to contribute to truly meaningful change.
- An inspiring community and the opportunity to grow with other people with similar values.
- NB! This is voluntary work.

The project is funded through the Startup Grant for Civil Society Smart Solutions by the Civil Society Foundation.
