Messages from young people to young people

Voice of Youth

There are harder moments in life, but better ones are coming. Honestly.

Kolm noort istumas koos ja vestlemas
Seek help. Say you're feeling bad.

What other young people have said

If you feel like you are not being listened to or heard, let them know that you feel misunderstood. If that doesn't help, try finding another specialist in the same field, perhaps the first one just wasn't a good fit.

I would like to remind young people not to push yourself aside, to love that little self inside you. If you hurt yourself or others, the little child inside you will be hurt the most. Don't insult it and don't speak badly about yourself. There is a much bigger and more beautiful life inside you that wants to come out. Don't push it aside.

Protect yourself and your interests, but think carefully about how and what you do.

Associate with people who don't drink, don't do drugs, etc. I've realized that this lifestyle isn't right, I'm associating with the wrong people. I end up going with them, for example, driving drunk, getting into fights.

In addition to work, you still need to learn a trade. Secondary education is still very important in life to get a job.

Psychologists, teachers, everyone actually wants to help you, they're not against you.

Changing your environment is the biggest factor: your friends, your family. If you don't have a good environment, you should remove yourself from it. This is often not noticed by children. But if you feel that something is bad, remove it quietly, even one at a time.
